Be Nice Little Tree. These Guys Are Stupid.
This week’s episode of Hello Dumb Dumb reminds me of a book I read when I was a youngster: The Giving Tree.
That book was about a selfless tree who gave wonderful things like apples and shade to a deserving kid. They were friends — unlike the Man Vs. Tree relationship that nature has with our poor dumb dumbs.
While our dumb dumbs receive gifts from trees — they are the gifts of bruises, broken bones, cuts, scars, medical bills, shame, humility and embarrassment. In a world where trees are the calm, steady component of nature, these guys go and turn ‘em into a dangerous force to be reckoned with. Way to go.
