Known as the “Walkabout Man” to those who cross his path, this 33-year-old Aussie has taken it upon himself to walk across his homeland just for the fun of it. And there’s one other bit of interesting information about the Walkabout Man – he has an alter ego. The two personalities of the Walkabout Man differ greatly. One personality – David – generally doesn’t have much motivation or enthusiasm for adventure. The other personality – named Benjamin Safari – has the drive, ambition and determination to do whatever in the world he damn well feels like. And Benjamin feels like trekking the 2,485 miles from Sydney to Perth. That’s what he does. “He walks, he camps, and he surfs,” explains David, “and he drags me along with him sometimes.”

If you think it’s odd that a man three decades old is led around an entire continent on foot by his alter ego, you are not alone. When David and Benjamin finally reach Perth, they have vowed to see a psychiatrist with a hope to figure out exactly what in the world is going on in that brain they share.

There’s only a few questions I have about the ‘Secret Knock Detecting Lock.’ What if I’m coming home after a party with a group of friends and friends of friends. Do I tell half of them to plug their ears? Step back a feet? Don’t listen to my secret knock yo! Or what about pesky snooping neighbors? Every time I come home do I have to take a look over my shoulder and make sure no one is latching onto my beat? So in the name of post-capitalism and postmodernism — no, not really — it’s time to farm the humans and drain every last ounce of blood or humanity left in them. Wait, maybe Daybreakers actually is a treaty against the ravages of capitalism: a corporation of the undead takes the remaining humans and harvests them to feed its unquenchable thirst for blood.

OMFG! Well that was easy. Another movie figured out, wrapped up, and spit out. Next!

Daybreakers is a Lionsgate Films and, as they put it, it opens in a world where almost everyone is a vampire and no one grows old. Sam Neill plays Charles Bromley and succinctly lets us, and the world of vampire brethren, know that “Immortality is the miracle and we are blessed”.

The remaining humans are hunted and farmed for blood, and when when there isn’t a single drop of blood left — the end of the human race is at stake and the battle between immortality and humanity is on.

Daybreakers stars Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe, Claudia Karvan, Michael Dorman, and Sam Neill. Watch the Daybreakers trailer right here and prepare yourself for the Daybreakers release date on January 8, 2010.

Each year approximately 2,000 dolphins are killed during the dolphin drive hunting practice which involves fisherman using boats and nets to circle pods of dolphins and drive them into the cove, where they are stabbed and drown and sold.

Not exactly uplifting but it’s an important issue that deserves full exposure.

Last year professional surfer Dave Rastovich and actress Hayden Panettiere led a team of conservationists into the cove to document and possibly rescue the dolphins during the hunt. They were unsuccessful in rescuing any dolphins, but they did film and document the secret fishing practices. The footage they recorded is now on PodSurf TV:

In the quest to make Sheeni “like him in that way”, Nick concocts a plan, errr, an alter ego, to win over the heart, mind, and body of Sheeni. This alter ego, Francois, is suave. This alter ego is smooth. This alter ego has a mustache.

With the cool and casual Francois in control, all should end well, right?  Not exactly. In the quest to conquer Sheeni, Nick happens to burn down most of Berkeley, CA., run away to India, and shoot her dad. Not cool. Really,  those these are just footnotes in the story of love. What matters is, of course, the success of Nick and Francois in changing their sexual status?
